FYODOROV, Viktor Stepanovich

FYODOROV, Viktor Stepanovich (29.5.1912, Selo Armavir of Kuban Obl. – 1.2.1990, Moscow), Statesman. Candidate of Engineering Sciences (1938). Hero of Socialist Labour (1944). Laureate of the USSR State Awards (1942, 1948, 1952). Awarded with the Order of Lenin (1942, 1944, 1948, 1952, ?), Order of the October Revolution (1982), Order of the Red Banner of Labour. Graduated from the Grozny Oil Institute (1932). Between 1957–58 Chairman of the Bashkir Council of National Economy, between 1965–85 Minister of Oil Refining and Petrochemical Industry of the USSR. Under the leadership of F., catalytic cracking units were mastered for the first time in the country; petrochemical complexes were established in Angarsk, Nizhnekamsk, Salavat, etc; Production Groups (Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant, Soda Production Group) were founded out of separate enterprises.
