FYODOROVSKY RAION, located in the SW part of the RB. Established on January 31, 1935 due to the disamalgamation of Meleuzovsky and Sterlibashevsky raions of the BASSR. Abolished on February 1, 1963, when it became part of Sterlitamaksky and Meleuzovsky raions. Newly established on January 29, 1965. Territory – 1,693 km2. Adm. centre — Selo Fyodorovka, which is located 200 km S of Ufa and 60 km NW of Meleuz Railway Station. Population — 16.8 thous. people (2017).

In 2017, the area of agricultural lands amounted to 138.9 thous. ha (82.2% of the total area), including arable lands — 84,1, hayfields 14,0, pastures — 40.7; forest area — 19.4 and surface waters — 0.8. Agricultural enterprises [the Frunze Agricultural Production Cooperative, 18 OOOs, 83 peasant (farmer) farms] specialize in the cultivation of grain crops, sunflower and sugar beet, meat and dairy cattle breeding. Horse breeding and sheep breeding, bee-keeping and poultry farming are well-developed. On the territory of the raion, there are: OOO Bashkir Gus, Azat, OAO Balyk Fish farm, the Germes consumer cooperative, the Agrobazis enterprise, etc. Highways: Sterlitamak—Sterlibashevo—Fyodorovka, Sterlitamak—Fyodorovka and Meleuz—Fyodorovka cross the territory.

There are: 27 general education schools, of which 9 are secondary schools, incl. Fyodorovskaya Secondary School No.1, 9 preschool educational institutions, a children’s music school, children’s school of arts, youth’ sports school, a youth tourism and excursions centre; Central Hospital, 3 rural outpatient hospitals, 29 medical and obstetrical centers; 32 clubs and 23 libraries. There are 8 folk amateur art groups.
