PHILARMONIAS, state concert organizations mainly established to promote the musical art. In Bashkortostan the first philharmonic institution was the Bashkir Philharmonia.

Sterlitamak Philharmonia state-owned. Opened in 1991 as a municipal P., since 1996 — state-owned P., since 2013 — became a part of the Sterlitamak State Concert and Theatre Association. It comprises (2018): pop folk group Ashkadar, music and literature lecture hall, orchestra of folk instruments, Chuvash pop folk group Sarbi, Dance Theatre, instrumental trio Con Anima.

Sibay Philharmonia state-owned. Opened in 1993 as a municipal P., since 1995 – a branch of the Bashkir P., since 1998 — its current status, since 2013 — became a part of the Sibay Concert and Theatre Association. It includes (2018): folk dance ensemble Sibay, orchestra of folk instruments, folk pop group Tarkhan, and soloists.

Neftekamsk Philharmonia state-owned. Opened January 8th, 1998 as a branch of the Bashkir P., since 2005 – its current name and status. It includes (2018): Bashkir pop group Kerdeshter (Kinsfolk), Tatar – Kaytavaz, Mari – U Sem; variety circus troupe Chingiz and Tamerlan, dance ensemble Tangaur, musical lecture hall, and ensemble of folk instruments.

Uchaly Philharmonia municipal autonomous. Opened in November 2000. It includes (2018): dance group Uraltau, exemplary folk dance ensemble Altyn-Ay (Golden Moon), ballroom dance studio Ilham (Inspiration), folk choir of veterans Singing Hearts, Russian choir of folk song, folk ensemble Hazina (Treasure), wind orchestra, children’s vocal choreographic studio Uraltau, and soloists. Winner of the Grand Prix of the Flowers of Russia. White Nights International Festival of Circus and Variety Art (St. Petersburg, 2009).
