KHANOV, Oleg Zakirovich (b.11.8.1951, Selo Kizgi of Arkhangelsky Raion of the BASSR), Actor. People’s Artist of the BASSR (1984), Merited Artist of the RSFSR (1987) and BASSR (1978). Laureate of the State Award of the RF (1996) and the BASSR Award named after Salavat Yulayev (1981). Awarded with the Order of Salavat Yulayev (2016). After graduating from the USIA (1973), he worked as an actor at BSAT, between 1989—93 — as the Chief Stage Dir. of the Youth Theatre (Ufa), since 1997 — as an Actor at Satirikon Moscow Theatre, since 2000 — as an Actor at the M.Gorky Orenburg Regional Drama Theatre, since 2009 — as the Chief Stage Dir. at the Salavat Drama Theatre, since 2012 — as the Artistic Managing Dir. at BSAT. Between 1984—97 — Chairman of the Union of Theatre Professionals of the RB. He possessed the skill of deep transformation, the skillful technique of acting in the works of different genres and styles, the rich variety of expressive means and methods. He appeared in motion picture Horseman on a Golden Horse (Mosfilm Film Studio, 1980).
