HONING MACHINES

HONING MACHINES on modular basis. Designed for metal machining with fine‑grain abrasive or metal bars covered with a diamond‑bearing layer. The bars are pressed against the machined surface by the hone, relative rotary and reciprocal movements (in upgraded machines oscillations are superimposed) of the hone and the work piece; machining precision is up to the 5th accuracy degree. The Sterlitamak Machine Tool plant is the only Russian manufacturer of modular honing machines with electromechanical actuators to control the required movements, with an adaptive CNC system for a high‑efficiency machining of holes in work pieces of average size 50–200 mm.
