CHEKMARYOV,Sergey Ivanovich (31.12.1909 in Moscow — 11.5.1933, near Derevnya Suleymanovo, Zianchurinsky Raion of the BASSR) was a poet. Laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Award (1976). After graduating from Molotov Moscow Meat and Milk Institute in 1932 worked as a zoo‑technician in the Tanalyksky state farm of Khaybullinsky Raion and the Inyak state farm of Zianchurinsky Raion. He had no publications during his lifetime. Creative works by Ch. were united in the following collections: Poems, Letters, Diaries (1957), Poems (1969), Assault Quarter: Selected Letters, Excerpts from Diaries, Poems (1980), etc. The Bashkir theme occupies a significant place in the creative works of Ch. A.Kh.Abdullin wrote a play titled Don’t Forget Me, the Sun! (1963), which is based on the facts of Ch.’s life and art. The creative works of Ch. Were translated into the Bashkir language.
