CHISHMY OIL EXTRACTION FACTORY, OOO. An enterprise for production of weighted out unrefined and refined deodorized vegetable oil and sunflower seed based processing products. Located in PGT Chishmy of Chishminsky Raion. Established in 1973 as a Chishminsky Interregional Wax Refining Factory, began operations in 1980 (produced raw beeswax and bee keeping equipment; since 1992, the production of sunflower oil was implemented), since 1993 it is OAO Chishminskoye, since 2006 – part of Sigma holding (Kopeysk). The current name – since 2015. It consists of wax-refining (founded in 1979), oil‑pressing (1992), husk‑granulating (2008), extraction (2009), refining (2010) workshops; a laboratory (1979), raw materials base (2014). Each year more than 160 thous. of sunflower seeds are processed; the production capacity (thous. t) is: sunflower unrefined oil for bottling – 80.2, meal and cake – 75.8, granulated husk – 11.3; raw beeswax – 0.122. The technologies of industrial processing of sunflower seeds by press and extraction methods, production of granular sunflower husk were implemented in the enterprise. C.O.E.F. is a holder of Best Enterprise of the Republic of Bashkortostan for Processing Agricultural Products (2009, 2012, 2014, and 2015), Best Enterprise of the Agro‑Industrial Complex of the RB (2008) diplomas.
