SHAITANTAU
SHAITANTAU, a zoological wildlife reserve (since 2010). It was organized to preserve the populations of game animals, rare animal species and rare plant species (1971). Located in the territory of Khaibullinsky Raion. Territory – 24.0 thous. ha. The south‑eastern border of oak dispersal runs along the territory of Sh. Astragalus helmii, yellow everlasting, Valeriana tuberosa, Dianthus uralensis, Allium obliquum, Linaria altaica, Tulipa Biebersteiniana, Ephedra distachya, etc, included in The Red Lists of the RB and RSFSR, grow here. It is inhabited by Nyctalus leisleri, Russian flying squirrel, bobak, roller, European mantid, Libelloides macaronius, European swallowtail, rite swallowtail, etc, included in The Red List of the RB, as well as saker falcon, golden eagle, imperial eagle, steppe eagle, European grayling, apollo butterfly, black apollo, Saga pedo, included in The Red Lists of the RB and RF.
