YULAY AZNALIN (1729; according to other data, 1730, Derevnya Tekeyevo of Shaytan‑Kudeyskaya Volost of Siberian Doroga — not earlier than 1797, Baltiysky Port of Estland Gub.), Participant of the 1771–73 Polish Campaign and Peasant War of 1773—75, Colonel of the Pugachyov’s Rebellion. Father of Salavat Yulayev. Joined the Uprising in Autumn, 1773. Between June and October, 1774, served as the Sibirskaya (Siberian) Doroga Judge on behalf of Ye.I.Pugachyov. Since July, Yu.A’s detachment participated in the siege of the Katav‑Ivanovsky plant. In November, after he turned himself in to the Lieutenant Colonel I.L.Timashev in Chelyabinsk, he was subjected to corporal punishment and sentenced to a lifelong labour exile in Baltiysky Port.
