YULAMAN KUSHAYEV
YULAMAN KUSHAYEV (not earlier than 1729 — ?), Participant of the Peasant War of 1773—75, General under Pugachyov’s command. In December, 1773, joined the Uprising and led the rebel movement in Isetskaya Province. In 1774, together with I.N.Gryaznov participated in the siege and capture of Chelyabinsk Fortress. As a Member of the Ye.I.Pugachyov’s Main Army participated in battles against the Government Forces near Derevnya Verkhniye Kigi (Kiginsky Raion of the RB) and Derevnya Urazmetevo of Tyrnaklinskaya Volost of Sibirskaya (Siberian) Doroga, Achitskaya Fortress, Perm Prov. (now the PGT Achit of Sverdlovsk Obl.), in Osa seizure and in the battles near Kazan. Since July, together with Bazargul Yunayev operated in the Trans‑Urals. In November, he was captured and delivered to Lieutenant Colonel I.L.Timashev in the Chelyabinsk Fortress.
