YUNUSOV, Marat Sabirovich

YUNUSOV, Marat Sabirovich (b.18.3.1940 in Moscow), Chemist. Acad. of the RAS (2003), Merited Acad. of the AS RB (2016), D.Sci. (Chemical Sciences) (1974), Full Professor (1983). Graduated from the MSU (1962). Since 1990 he worked in the IOC (between 1994–2011 as Dir.), simultaneously, between 2006–11 – as Chairman of the Presidium of the USC RAS. Scientific activity is dedicated to research in the field of chemistry of bio‑organic, natural, physiological active compounds. The antiarhythmic drug allapinin, aconitin and α‑bicculine bioreactives were developed under the leadership of Yu.
