YUNUSOVA (Idelbayeva), Gulfiya Aznagulovna (b.10.9.1948, Derevnya Saryshevo of Alsheyevsky Raion of the BASSR). People’s poet of the RB (2015), Merited Cultural Sector Professional of the Russian Federation (2005) and BASSR (1989). Laureate of the Davletshina State Award of the RB (2006). Awarded with the Order of the Badge of Honour (1984). Member of the Union of Writers of the RB. Graduated from the BSU in 1971. Since 1970, teacher at Sibaysky Teacher’s College. Since 1973, Senior Assistant Editor at the Soviet Bashkortostan newspaper. Since 1974, Assistant Editor at the Pioneer magazine. Between 1978—99, Chief Editor at the Daughter of Bashkortostan magazine. Author of the following collections of poems: Song of the Lark (1983), Do not Disappear in the Hope (1990), White Rains (1998); and books for children: My Blue Ball (1971), Song of the Nightingale (1998), Rainbow (2003), etc. The creative works of Yu. translated into Azerbaijani, Belarusian, Georgian, Karakalp, Russian, Finnish, Japanese and other languages. A deputy of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR of the 12th convocation and State Assembly – Kurultay of the RB of the 2nd convocation.
