YURYUZAN

YURYUZAN, a river, a left‑tributary of the Ufa River. Length — 404 km, basin area — 7,240 thous. km². The length in the territory of the RB is approx. 224 km. The river basin is divided into mountain part (from the source to Selo Maloyaz of Salavatsky Raion), located within the mountains and foothills of the Bashkir (Southern) Urals, and plain part (up to the mouth) — on the Yuryuzano-Aiskaya Plain and Ufa Plateau. Landscapes are represented by spruce, fir, pine and foliage forests and by forest‑steppe. The upper reaches of the river are located within the territory of South Ural Reserve, in the middle reaches of Yu. there is YanganTau Health Resort. It is navigable on the stretch of 16 km up to the mouth.
