YUSUPOV Timer (Timerbay)  Yusupovich; 31.5.1938, Posyolok Nizhne‑Absalyamovo of Mechetlinsky Raion of the BASSR, now Derevnya Nizhne‑Absalyamovo of Duvansky Raion of the RB, — 16.3.2016, Ufa). People’s poet of the RB (2003). Merited Cultural Sector Professional of the Russian Federation (1999) and the BASSR (1988). Laureate of The Salavat Yulayev RB State Award (1998). Member of the Union of Writers of the RB. Graduated from the BSU in 1967 and Higher Lit. Courses under Gorky Lit. Institute in Moscow in 1979. Since 1967, secondary school teacher at Askarov 8‑year secondary school of Burzyansky Raion. Since 1968, employee at the Pioneer of Bashkortostan newspaper. Between 1973—77, Director of the Imaginative Literature Propaganda Bureau. Between 1983 — 88, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Union of Writers of the BASSR (all — in Ufa). Author of the following collections of poems: The Hearth Burns (1978), Flood (1982), Time Comes (1990), The Berries Are Ripe (1998), etc. The creative works of Yu. were translated into Altai, German, Russian, Tat. and Yakut languages.
