YUSUPOVA, Beder Akhmetovna (21.12.1901, Orsk — 30.8.1969, Ufa), Actress, Theatrical and Public Figure. People’s Artist of the BASSR (1940), Merited Artist of the RSFSR (1944) and BASSR (1935). Awarded with the Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1955), Order of the Badge of Honour (1944). After graduation from the Orsk teachers’ courses (1915) until 1918, she worked in Orsk, between 1919—29 — at various schools of Bashkortostan and at the departments of the People's Commissariat for Education of the BASSR. between 1926—69 — an Actress at BSAT. Between 1952—61 — Chairman of the Union of Theatre Professionals of the BASSR. One of the first actresses and founders of the Bashk. Theatre. The actress's gift was close to character roles and to the images of strong characters. Her performance art was distinguished by bright temperament, the skill of voice and plastic expressiveness. She acted in more than 120 diverse roles to the works of Bashkir, foreign, Russian classical and Soviet literature.
