YAKUPOV, Gilman Girfanovich

YAKUPOV, Gilman Girfanovich (20.3.1925, Derevnya Staro‑Sibayevo, Zilairsky Canton of the BASSR, now Selo Stary Sibay, Baymaksky Raion of the RB, – 11.2.2012, Ufa), Statesman and an Active Communist Party Member. Hero of Socialist Labour (1971). Awarded with the Order of Lenin (1971), the Order of the Patriotic War (1984), the Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1957, 1966), and the Order of the Red Star (1945). Participant in the Great Patriotic War. Graduated from the Higher Party School at the Central Committee of the CPSU (Moscow, 1956). Since 1942, he worked in Baymaksky Raion (between 1949–52 as Head of the Department of Agriculture, Secretary of the Baymak Raion Committee of the CPSU), since 1955 Secretary of the Sibay City Committee of the CPSU, since 1956 1st Secretary of the Mechetlinsky Raion Committee of the CPSU, since 1962 – of the Khaibullinsky Party Committee of the Sovkhoz‑Kolkhoz Production Administration of the BASSR, since 1965 – of the Khaibullinsky Raion Committee of the CPSU. Between 1980–81 Head of the Administrative Office of the Council of Ministers of the BASSR. Deputy of the 7th Session of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR and of the 6–10th Sessions of the Supreme Council of the BASSR.
