KARAMYSHEV, Galimyan Harisovich [December 1903, Derevnya Makarovo of Sterlitamaksky Uyezd of Ufa Gub. (Ishimbaysky Raion of the RB) — 20.1.1977, Ufa], Actor. People’s Artist of the RSFSR (1955) and BASSR (1940), Merited Artist of the RSFSR (1949) and BASSR (1935). Awarded with the Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1955), Order of the Badge of Honour (1944). Between 1926—27, he studied at the State Technical School of Cinematography (Moscow). Between 1919—70 (intermittently) — an actor at BSAT. K.’s artistic skill was characterized by sharp and bright comedian nature, plastic expressiveness, and accuracy of characteristics. He performed in screen ballet Crane Song (Sverdlovsk Film Studio, 1959).
