AKBUZAT
“AKBUZAT”, opera by Kh.Sh.Zaimov and A.E.Spadavecchia in 3 acts with a prologue based on Bashkir epic Akbuzat. Written in 1942. The premiere took place on November 7th, 1942 on the stage of the Opera and Ballet Theatre (libretto by S.M. Miftakhov, conductor – P.M. Slavinsky, stage directors – B.G. Imashev and V.A. Nelly, scenographers – G.Sh. Imasheva and M.N. Arslanov, choirmaster – N.A. Bolotov, ballet master – Kh.G. Safiullin). Of the many plotlines of the epic, the struggle of Khauban batyr against the power of the evil Masimkhan is the key plotline in the opera. In the charac teristic of the main characters – Khauban, Nerkes, Tankhylu, the intonations close to the melody of uzunkyui are widely used as leitmotifs. The premiere of the 2nd edition of A. took place on December 31st, 1957 on the stage of Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre (libretto by S.M. Miftakhov and K. Dayan, conductor – N.G. Sabitov, stage director – M.Kh. Khismatullin, scenographer – M.N. Arslanov, choirmaster – A.G. Tikhomirov, ballet master – F.A. Gaskarov).
