AKSAKOV HISTORY AND CULTURE CENTER

AKSAKOV HISTORY AND CULTURE CENTER, an NGO branch of the House of Peoples’ Friendship. It was established in 1998 in the village Nadezhdino in Belebeyevsky district of the RB in order to revive folk crafts of the Russian people as well as hold cultural and educational activities to safeguard and develop the literary heritage of S.T. Aksakov and his family. The center offers classes in arts and crafts (wood carving, sewing, embroidery, etc.). The center holds holidays such as Maslenitsa, Pokrov day, “My family tree, my village”, etc.; during the days of Slavic writing and culture in the RB they hold the folk festival “Crimson ringing of bells”. A.h.c.c. participates in the international festival of arts “Heart of Eurasia”, etc.
