ASSEMBLY OF FINNO‑UGRIC PEOPLES OF BASHKORTOSTAN

ASSEMBLY OF FINNO‑UGRIC PEOPLES OF BASHKORTOSTAN, a NGO established by the Mordovian ethnic cultural center, Udmurts ethnic cultural center, “Ervel Mariy” non­governmental organization in Ufa in 2005. Main focus areas: coordination of activities of Finno­Ugric non­governmental organizations, assistance in organizing holidays, contests, and festivals and other events aiming at unification of Finno­Ugric peoples. Events organized with participation of the Assembly: International Festival of Arts and Folk Culture “Finno­Ugric Transit: Family Traditions” (Neftekamsk, 2016), regular festivals “Silver Cord”, “Play, Mordovian squeezebox!”, regional Mordovian singers contest “Clear Voices”, “Belle” beauty contest among Udmurt young women, etc. The Assembly cooperates with the Association of Finno­Ugric Peoples of the Russian Federation, etc. Chairmen: N.D. Gerasimov (since 2005), Y.N. Gerasimova (since 2012).
