ASHKADAR NAGYSHTARY

“ASHKADAR NAGYSHTARY” (“Ashkadar patterns”), Bashkir folk ensemble of Sterlitamak City Palace of Culture. Established in 2000 as “Komartky” (“Relic”). In 2003, it was awarded the title “People’s”. In 2017 it became an honored folk­art team of RB. The band has had its current name since 2012. The team studies and recreates old Bashkir customs, folk songs, chastushkas, and folk dances. Participants collected ancient household items and utensils of Bashkirs, which are used in productions and theatrical performances. The repertoire includes Bashkir songs “Hello, countrymen!”, “Shlapur”, “Don’t leave your native land”, “Old Apipa”, “Family coupletes”, “Grandfather”, “Baik”, etc; munazhats “To God”, “Guest munazhat”; bayts “My Ural”, “Bayt about war”, “Bayt of Akmulla”; folklore compositions “Buza”, “We are children of war”, “Hello, countrymen!”, “Feast of meat preparation”, “Yuasa”, “Family spirit”, etc. Winner of international, regional, and other festivals and competitions.
