BASHKIRIA IN THE RUSSIAN LITERATURE
“BASHKIRIA IN THE RUSSIAN LITERATURE”, an anthology. Compiled by M.G.Rakhimkulov, 5 volumes edition (1961–68), revised 6 volumes edition (1989–2004; 4–6th volumes together with S.G. Safuanov). Represents the artistic chronicle of the Bashk. region by the Russian language writers. The anthology is based on a chronological principle and it includes excerpts from the lit. works by S.T. Aksakov, V.I. Dal, D.N. Mamin-Sibiryak, A.S. Pushkin, L.N. Tolstoy et al., where Bashkiria is mentioned. The 6th volume contains lit. works of contemporary Russian language writers, who are the natives of Bashkortostan, including R.V. Pal, A.P. Filippov, G.G. Shafikov et al. All volumes have a preface, biographical notes, a commentary and a bibliography.
