BASHKIR COMPLEX EXPEDITION o f A S U S S R. This took place in 1928—32 to study the economic and cultural life of Bashkortostan as well as the productive prospects of the region. The expedition was managed by Bashkir commission (headed by S.I. Rudenko, then A.K. Zavadovskiy and Y.K. Krauberg) established on the basis of Special committee of AS USSR, which aimed to research the United and autonomous republics. Seventeen specialized teams participated in B.c.e., what is more than 100 scientists in total. An anthropological team conducted archeological, folklorelinguistic and other research of Turkic and FinnoUgeian peoples of the republic as well as research on their cultural and household common influence. A folklore-linguistic team, which included N.K. Dmitriyev (the head), K.Bilyalov, G.Y. Davletshin, N.Z. Zakirov, Z.S.Shakirov, etc., was researching the dialect peculiarities of the language in Tamyan-Katayskiy, Argayashskiy and Mesyagutovskiy cantons. The collected materials became the basis to further develop different science branches in Bashkortostan.
