BASHKIR FOLK SONGS, SONGS‑LEGENDS

“BASHKIR FOLK SONGS, SONGS‑LEGENDS” – “Bashkort khalyk yyrzary, yyr­ riueyettere” (Ufa, 1997; in Bashkir, Russian, and English), a set of samples of Bashkir folklore. Author­compiler: F.A. Nadrshina. It consists of an introductory article and 4 sections, including 75 works. The introductory article discusses the ideological, thematic, and genre features of the works of Bashkir folklore. Songs are systematized by the type of melody: uzun-kyuy, khalmak-kyuy, kyska-kyuy, epic tunes (stories), munazhats. Texts are accompanied by comments, indexes, and notes.
