BASHKIR FOLKLORE

“BASHKIR FOLKLORE” (“Bashkort folklory”), an ongoing edition of scientific articles on folklore studies. Carried out by the Department of Folklore Studies of the Institute of History, Language, and Literature (Ufa, 1986, 1993, 1995, 1999, 2000, 2004, 2011, 2019). In different years, the editors of the publication were L.G. Barag, N.T. Zaripov, F.A. Nadrshina, R.A. Sultangareyeva, A.M. Suleymanov, G.R. Khusainova, et al. The book includes articles on the current issues in Bashkir folklore and (since 1995) other related areas, in particular, in literary studies, linguistics, ethnology, and philosophy. In the “Materials” section, unpublished examples of folk art are presented, including demonological stories-beliefs, munazhats with notes, fairy tales, remarks on the themes of Argayash long songs, etc.
