GULNAZIRA

“GULNAZIRA”, a Bashkir ethnic song, kyska-kuy. First registered by L.N. Lebedinskiy in 1938, published in the book “Bashkort khalk yirdary” by K.F. Akhmetov. It is a popu­ lar takmak. Bright intonation development, an original verse­strophic form (verses have 3 beats to a measure, the chorus has 4 beats to a measure) make the melody special. The musical adaptation of “G.” for choir was composed by A.S. Klucharyev, for the same­titled dance – by T.S. Karimov and K.Y. Rakhimov. “G.” melody is used in “Crane song” ballet by L.B. Stepanov and Z.G. Ismagilov, in “Choreographic Suit” by Rakhimov. There is a Bashkir game­dance (mass). First it was performed on a professional stage as a part of “Bashkir collective farm danc­es” chorographical suit in the beginning of the 1940’s choreographed by Gaskarov, performed by Ethnic dance ensemble n.a. F. Gaskarov. “G.” is performed as an independent item for 8 and more pair of dancers since 1952. Authentic forms of the ethnic dance with constant devel­opment of dramatic action created a fully­ pre­sented theatrical and choreographical picture.
