YEGOROV Nikolay Ivanovich
YEGOROV Nikolay Ivanovich (b. 20.2.1949), turkologist and linguist. Doctor of Philology (1992). His research papers are devoted to his torical Chuvash lexicology, onomastics, dialectology, folklore, mythology, calendar holidays, and ceremonies. Author of more than 400 research papers. One of the authors of the book “Educational and reference materials on the Chuvash dialectology and dialectological dictionary of the Pre-Ural dialects of the Chuvash language” (2004), which contains folklore materials (lyrics, ceremonial prayers, children’s games, etc) of the Chuvash people of Bashkortostan. Corresponding member of the Turkish Linguistic Society (2000), member of the Presidium of the World Association of Turkologists (2004).
