Prepared in 2009 by the Institute of History, Language and Literature, as well as scholars of the Academy of Sciences of the RB, the Bashkir State University, and other institutions of the RB and the Russian Federation. Chief Editor – M.M. Kulsharipov. Each volume has explanatory notes, including a bibliographic index, geographical index, nominal index, list of abbreviations, etc. The 2012 edition was updated with the Documents and Materials on The History of the Bashkir People, including the A.Kh. Pshenichnyuk monograph Filippovka: The South Urals 4th Century BC Nomadic Nobility Necropolis and historical sources on the history of the Bashkirs from ancient times to the present day.
