FOLKLORE WORLD PICTURE

FOLKLORE WORLD PICTURE is a stable art system of ethnic ideas about people and the surrounding world formed as a result of human practical activities. F.w.p. is based on a traditional archaic perception of the world connected with ethnic consciousness. It is reflected in poetic and prose genres of folklore and its non­verbal forms (see Intangible cultural heritage). F.w.p. is dynamic and forms by means of folklore poetics, unity of time and space in folklore. F.w.p. has two constituents: relation with mentality, reflection of cultural and psychic peculiarities of the ethnos, stereotypes of conscious connected with mythology (see Myths), connection with the language. Folklore texts contain aesthetic experience of elder generations, which connects people to their spiritual heritage, helps them to understand reality as a whole.
