ART EXHIBITIONS

ART EXHIBITIONS, the public display of art works. Since the1910s, A.e. in Bashkortostan were associated with the activities of the Ufa Art Society, later – Ufa Art Proletariat Museumof the October Revolution (ref. Art Museum named after M.V.Nesterov), the Association of the Artists of the Revolutionary Russia and the Union of Artists. A.e. became more diversified with the appearance of the first art groups and associations, new art galleries; exhibitions of the itemsof the traditional cultures of the peoples of Bashkortostan were arranged, later — exhibition projects, conceptually uniting theworks of the traditional and modern art ofthe region (“From Tamga to Avant‑garde”). Also A.e. demonstrate the works of plasticarts (printed and computer graphics, sculpture, art photography, design, etc).The new technologies and methods of presentation of art ideas in various forms ofactual art are used (performances by group“Genghis Khan”); there arise the art projects that unite the elements of A.e., theatre, fashion show, variety show, etc. The most significant A.e. that took place in the Republic: personal jubilee A.e. by G.Sh.Imasheva (1983), Т.P.Nechayeva (1992), А.H.Sitdikova (1993, 2014), К.S.Devletkildeyev (1997), А.F.Lutfullin (1998,2013), М.N.Arslanov (2000), А.E.Tyulkin (2009), V.М.Hannanov (2016); collective A.e.: the works of the laureates of the State Award of the RB named after SalavatYulayev (1991), dedicated to the World Qurultay (Congress) of Bashkirs (1995, 2010), etc; international A.e.: the works of modern artists from the Turkic-speaking countries (2000); jubilee A.e.: dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of theUnion of Artists of the RB (2009), the 25th Anniversary of the Art Association “Genghis Khan” (2015), the 20th Anniversary of the Association of the Artists of theSouth of Bashkortostan (2017), the 100thAnniversary of the establishment of theRB: The Republican exhibition‑contest of art works “The Birth of the Republic” (2017—18); Republican A.e. of the bestworks of Fine Arts, devoted to Salavat Yulayev and his comrade‑in‑arms (2004);specialized A.e.: the works by the scene-designer artists of the RB (2000), Russian“Polygraphy. Advertisement. Design”,open Republican exhibition “Art Textile” (both — in 2007), photo exhibition of thecinema and photo club “Agidel” (2009), Republican exhibitions of sculpture, scenic, author’s and folk puppet “In the Image and Likeness” (2016), decorative appliedart “Ornament. Symbol. Sign” (2017); mobile A.e.: international perspective art-project “Internal Asia” (2002—04; cities Bishkek, Almaty, Tashkent, Ufa, St.Petersburg, Novosibirsk), Republican driveaway exhibitions “Modern Fine Arts of theRepublic of Bashkortostan” (2012,Moscow State Exhibition Hall “NewManezh”; 2016, Kazan, National Art Gallery “Hazina”); exhibition‑presentation of art history publications; art‑projects, etc.Bashkortostan also hosts the triennial of printed graphics (since 1987), the sculpture exhibition (since 1996), Republican gala‑exhibitions of the professional decorative applied art of Bashkortostan (since 1997), exhibitions ‘Watercolour Spring’ (since1998), exhibition‑contests ‘Young Artists ofBashkortostan’ (since 2004), as well as children’s A.e.
