KONDRATYEV  Mikhail  Grigoryevich

KONDRATYEV  Mikhail  Grigoryevich (b. 9.8.1948), musicologist, folklorist. Doctor of Art History (1995), Professor (1998). His research is devoted to the study of rhythm in Chuvash folk and professional music, the formation of the ethnic school of composers, and the art heritage of Chuvash ethnic music and art. Founder of the scientific school of theory of Chuvash musical  art.  He made  a  significant contribution to the study of Chuvash-­Mari, Chuvash­-Tatar, and Chuvash­-Udmurt musical parallels. The author of more than 500 scientific works, including collections “Songs of the lower Chuvash” (1981, 1982), “Songs of the middle­-lower Chuvash” (1993), which included the works recorded by K. in Bashkortostan.
