KRASNY YAR
“KRASNY YAR”, Russian historical and cultural center, public organization, branch of the House of Peoples’ Friendship. It was created in 1998 in the village Krasny Yar of Ufa district of the RB in order to preserve and revive the rites, folklore, and folk crafts of the Russian people. Russian culture museum “Russkaya Gornitsa” operates in the center to exhibit selfwoven towels, embroidery, household items. The center holds the Aksakov festival, Maslenitsa, Ivan Kupala holiday, Palm Sunday, and other holidays. During the days of Slavic writing and culture, the center holds the regional folk festival of old Russian songs “In Krasny Yar we were...” The center participates in the international festival of arts “Heart of Eurasia”, the regional competition “Folk Time”, etc. The center is the home of the folk ensemble “Ivushki” and the children’s folk ensemble “Kudrinki”. Russian language camp Rossiyanochka has been operating in the center since 2008; since 2015, it has been a home of the club “Russian word”.
