MORDOVIAN HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL CENTER
MORDOVIAN HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL CENTER, public organization, branch of the House of Peoples’ Friendship. Established in 2011, in the village Fedorovka of Fedorovsky district of the RB in order to revive and safeguard the cultural and historical heritage, language, crafts, customs, and folklore of the Mordovians. The center hosts Christmas, Maslenitsa, Holy Sunday, the day of the Erzya language, the regional contest “Mordovian beauty,” the regional contest of performers of the Mordovian song “Ringing voices.” Amateur clubs “Flower” (for children), and “Springlet” arrange folk gatherings. The Vastoma ensemble operates at the center.
