BASHKORTOSTAN PEOPLES

“BASHKORTOSTAN PEOPLES”  i s  a  s t a t e   p r o g r a m   o f   2 0 0 3 – 2 0 1 2, approved by Resolution №388 of the Cabinet of Ministers of RB of December 31, 2002. It was prolonged through 2013 by Resolution № 226 of June 5, 2013. The program included several measures to support and develop social, economic, spiritual, cultural life and language culture of RB peoples. The program aimed to accomplish science-based principles of national politics, to provide harmonious and full development of RB peoples. The main purposes were to create and preserve economic, social, political, cultural, language and other rights of peoples, to develop historically significant cultural, language and religious traditions of RB peoples. Ethical self-awareness is formed and improved by the important means of enhancing and advancing of national-cultural organizations activities, support and development of national educational system, mass media, creation of a measure system which aims to enforce the traditions of interethnic friendship between RB peoples, building-up a respectful attitude to history, culture, language of Bashkir people and ethnical cultures, languages of all Bashkortostan peoples, etc. The main measures are to develop Bashkortostan peoples socially, economically, nationally and culturally, to encourage inter-ethnical and inter-regional collaboration, to provide scientific, informational and analytical support, etc. The government of the RB, Ministry of Culture of RB controlled the implementation of the program.

Bashkortostan house of people’s friendship offered to expand the activities and create historical and cultural centers and national-cultural centers as a part of the program.
