SCIENTIFIC ARCHIVE OF URC RAS

SCIENTIFIC ARCHIVE OF URC RAS accepts and stores the documents of URS RAS, its institutions, personal documents of the scientists, materials of expeditions, etc. Founded in 1956. It is a part of the archive collection of RAS. There are 15 scientific institutions in the list of sources. It contains 123 collections (including 110 personal) and 13 collections of scientific institutions, which are within the jurisdiction of URC RAS. There are 21277 documents (management documents – 5309, personnel documents – 6003, scientific – 2344, personal documents of scientists – 7621) collected from 1878 to 2020. The main part of the documents is the manuscripts of scientists, culture workers and artists of Bashkortostan, shezhere, unpublished materials, copies of documents about the Bashkir rebels of 17th-18th centuries. The most valuable are the materials of complex expeditions to study folklore, dialects and ethnography of Bashkirs (see Folklore expeditions), anthropological, archeological expeditions, etc.
