ST. NICOLAS TEMPLE
“ST. NICOLAS TEMPLE” R u s s i a n h i s t o r i c a l a n d c u l t u r a l c e n t e r, public organization, branch of the Bashkortostan house of Peoples’ Friendship. It was created in 1994 in the village Nikolo-Berezovka of Krasnokamsky district of the RB in order to safeguard and revive the cultural heritage, rituals, traditions, and folk crafts of Russians. The center’s delegation participated in the 2nd (2009) and 3rd (2015) congresses of the Assembly of the Peoples of the RB and the Council of Russians of Bashkortostan. The center hosts festivals of Russian culture, exhibitions of applied and artistic art, Maslenitsa, Ivan Kupala holiday, Nikita-gusyatnik, Mikhail day, and other holidays. During the days of Slavic writing and culture, the center organizes the regional folk festivals “Nikola Vernal” and “Kak na Kame, na reke...”. The center participates in the international Aksakov holiday, various holidays, competitions, and festivals. At the center are the vocal ensembles “Berezonka” and “Nadezhda.”
