TRANSLATIONS OF FOLKLORE TEXTS. The history of folklore identifies Bashkir epic monuments translated into the Russian language: “Kuz-Kurpyach” translated by T.S. Belyayev (1812), “Bashkir mermaid” (“Zayatulyak and Khyukhyku”) in the authors interpretation by V.V. Dal (1843); “Bashkir ethnic fairytales” translated by A.G. Bessonov (1941); “Bashkir ethnic epic” translated by N.V. Kidaysh-Pokrovskaya, A.S. Mirbadaleva and A.K. Khakimov (1977). The works of Bashkir folklore different genres were published in Russian in 1987-2010 in “Bashkir ethnic art” collection in 12 volumes (translated into Russian by Y.A. Andrianov, R.B. Akhmedov, B.G. Akhmetshin, M.A. Gafurov, D.A. Daminov, A.P. Mayorov, M.G. Rakhimkulov, A.P. Filippov, G.G. Shafikov).
The samples of Bashkir folklore were published in three languages (Bashk., Russ., Eng.) as a part of F.A. Nadrshina’s project called “Khalkym yiry=Pesni moyego naroda= Songs of my Folk” (1995), “Bashkort khalyl yirzary, yui riueyettere =Bashkirskiye narodnye pesni, pesni-predaniya=Bashkort folk songs, songs-legends” (1997), “Bashkort khalyk riueyettere hem legendalary=Bashkirskiye narodnye predaniya i legendy=Bashkort folk legends” (2001),“Uralbatyr. Bashkortkhlykkobayiry=Ural batyr. Bashkirskiy narodnyi epos=Ural batur. Bashkort Folk Epic” (2003,2005), “Bashkort khalyk kobayir-irtektere Bashkirskiye narodnye epicheskiye skazaniya=Bashkir folk epic stories”(2010);“SalUralkhazinalary=Sokrovishcha sedogo Urala=The Treasures of the Ancient Urals” (2019), etc. The translations of folklore works were made and published by N.N. Akhtyamova, B.T. Ganeyev, A.R. Mukhtarullina, Z.A. Rakhimov, E.M. Sozinova, L.M. Takumbetova, S.G. Shafikov, R.K. Shaybakova.
