RAKHIMOV Ravil Galimovich

RAKHIMOV Ravil Galimovich (b. 20.4.1948), musicologist, folklorist, facilitator, teacher, bayan player. Doctor of Art History (2006). His research is devoted to ethnic music, the history of Bashkir ethnic musical instruments. Author of more than 50 research papers. In 1983–2006, more than 1500 instrumental tunes of the peoples of the RB were collected, and more than 500 Bashkir folk melodies were recorded. Organizer and head of the ensembles of Bashkir folk instruments of the Ufa State Institute of Art, music school № 1, pedagogical college № 2. In 1996–2002, R. initiated competitions and festivals in memory of F.H. Kamayev.
