RODIONOV Vitaliy Grigoryevich

RODIONOV Vitaliy Grigoryevich (b. 5.10. 1947), literary critic, folklorist. Doctor of Philology (1993), Professor (1995). His research is devoted to the study of the genesis and features of the Chuvash prosody, the history of the development of Chuvash literature and writing, ceremonial folklore of the Chuvash people. Author of more than 200 research papers. The compiler of collections “Chuvash folklore. Specificity of Genres” (1982), “Research on the Chuvash Folklore” (1984), “Chuvash Folk Art” (1989, all published in Cheboksary). The book “Materials of complex expeditions” (Cheboksary, 2008) includes chastushkas, wedding ceremonies, songs, etc recorded by R. in 1984 and 1987 in the Chuvash villages of Aurgazinsky, Bizhbulyaksky, Belebeyevsky, Sterlitamaksky, Gafuriysky, Sharansky, Chekmagushevsky, and Fedorovsky districts of Bashkortostan.
