RUDENKO Sergey Ivanovich
RUDENKO Sergey Ivanovich (29.1.1885, Harkov– 16.7.1969, Leningrad), an ethnographer, anthropologist, archaeologist, geographer, hydrologist. Dr.Sci (Technical Sciences, 1945), Full Professor (1919). Graduated from St. Petersburg University (1910). His scientific activities were dedicated to the study of ethnography and traditional culture of the peoples of the Urals, Siberia, Altai, etc. In 1906 and 1907, he participated in ethnographic expeditions in Perm, Ufa, and Orenburg guberniyas. Between 1928–30 – the leader of the Bashkir complex expedition, in 1952 – a member of the expedition of the Institute of History, Language and Literature.
