RUSSIAN PATTERNS
RUSSIAN PATTERNS, a folk ensemble of Russian songs of the Krasnozilim rural multifunctional club of Arkhangelsk district. Established in 1955. In 1970 it earned the title “People’s”; in 2015 it became an honored folk-art team of RB; in 1999 it was named after the founder and first artistic director A.M. Piskunova. The ensemble’s work is characterized by an authentic manner of performance. The repertoire includes Russian folk songs “In the smithy”, “Behind the mountain by the well”, “Between the steep banks”; wedding songs: “A grey dove flew...”, “Gave the young to the foreign side”; recruit songs: “Between the mountains, between the Carpathians”, “On the forest edge”, “Machine wheels are knocking”, etc. Participant of the all-Union folklore conference (Leningrad, 1987), international folklore festival “Pearl of the North” (Arkhangelsk, 1989). Winner of all-Union, regional, and other festivals and holidays.
