SABITOV Silantiy Sateyevich

SABITOV Silantiy Sateyevich (b. 20.6. 1950, Starobedeyevo village, Nurimanovskiy district BASSR), literary critic, folklorist. Candidate of Philology (1985). Graduated from Mari state University (1977). Scientific activity is devoted to the study of Mari folklore, including fairytales, folk songs, chastushkas, etc. “Let us sing” collection (1991) included Mari songs and chastushkas collected in the territory of Mari El, Bashkortostan, Udmurtiya, Sverdlovskaya regions. Compiler of “Fairytales of meadow Mari” collection (1992).
