SULEYMANOV Akhmet Mukhametvaleyevich

SULEYMANOV Akhmet Mukhametvaleyevich (15.3.1939 in Derevnya Nabiyevo, Burzyansky Raion of the BASSR – 21.11.2016 in Ufa, buried in his homeland). Associate Member of the AS RB (2016), Dr. Sci. (Philology, 1991) and Full Professor (1995). Merited Scientist of the Russian Federation (2006) and the RB (1997) and Merited Cultural Sector Professional of the BASSR (1991). Laureate of the Salavat Yulayev Award of the BASSR (1987). Awarded with the Order of Salavat Yulayev (2014). Member of the Union of Writers of the RB. Graduated from the BSU in 1967 and worked there since 1972. Since 1991 – in the the Institute of History, Language and Literature and, at the same time, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the World Kurultay (Congress) of Bashkirs. Between 2006–16, taught at BSPU. Author of the following monographs: “The Reality of the Fairy Tale” (1997), “Folk Humorous Prose” (1998), “Bashkir Folk Novella” (2005), etc.; journalistic books: A Retentive Memory Belongs To Those Who Appreciate the Score (2002), etc.; kubairas and translations: My Kubairas Are My Guides (2014), etc. One of the authors and compilers of the following collections: “Bashkort Khalyk Izhady”, “Bashkir Folk Art”, and Anthology of Turkic Literature. Bashkir Literature (vol.: 29–30; 2004–2005; in Turkish; published in Ankara).
