SULEYMANOV Rif Safinovich

SULEYMANOV Rif Safinovich (b. 9.6. 1936), musicologist, folklorist. Doctor of Art History (2006). His research is devoted to the study of genres of Bashkir ethnic song, ceremonies, as well as the reconstruction of the dumbyra, dungur, and kyl-kubyz. Author of more than 30 research papers, 5 invention patents. S. recorded versions of the songs “Zalifakay”, “Port-Arthur”, “Syrdarya”, kubair “Petty officer Masagut”, etc, collected about 3000 and notated more than 500 pieces of Bashkir musical folklore. One of the compilers of the volumes “Bashkort Khalyk Izhady” and “Bashkir folk musical art”.
