FOLKLORE TEXT
FOLKLORE TEXT is a theoretical category of textology of folklore, which represents the folklore consciousness of a person. F.t. has an integrative function, it saves folklore memory and transfers it to younger generations; the spiritual experience of people representing by images and motifs helps to form ethnical self-awareness. The term came into use in the 1950–60’s in folklore textology. F.t. is objective because of the peculiarities of its reproduction. In comparison with fairytales, texts of non-fairytale ethnic prose is does not have situational context. However, inter-genre peculiarities can vary from “fairytale” and “non-fairytales” depending on the storyteller. Therefore, folklore tradition does not require cause-and-effect conditionality and obligatory logic of events. Modern F.t. developed according to “folklore schemes” can be called post-folklore. F.t. is a syncretic phenomenon, which can be studied together by humanities (linguofolkloristics, ethnoliguistics, ethnopedagogy, psycholinguistic, linguoculturology) and other sciences. Modern approaches to study F.t. broaden the borders of text space and have a goal to present it to a wide audience.
