FOLKLORE COLLECTIVES
FOLKLORE COLLECTIVES, ensembles, clubs, studios, groups and other forms of independent art activity organization created to preserve and promote ethnic music, ethnic dances, ethnic games, rituals, etc. They work on the basis of historical and cultural centers, ethnic cultural centers, general education schools and institutions, middle special educational institutions, institutions of higher education, etc. There are initial F.c. (characterized by authentic manner of performance) and secondary (which use stage adaptation of ethnic art works). Repertoire of the F.c. is based on traditional folklore, folklore-ritual theatrical compositions, ethnic choreography, etc. The information about F.c. can be found in the books “In the Urals, among the Bashkirs” (1894) and “Music and songs of the Ural Muslims with their household description” by S.G. Rybakov. After the October revolution, folklore ensemble musical art was spread in some kinds of independent art (clubs, studios, groups).
In the 1970-80’s independent art stimulated a massive foundation of F.c. (more than 40 folklore ensembles, clubs, studios). F.K. Kamayev organized F.c., he initiated the first Republic contest of folklore ensembles in Ufa in 1981 called “Pearls of ethnic art”, in 1985-87 he organized the Republic holiday of talyanka (together with F.K. Iskhanov).
F.c. are highly influenced by international, inter-regional, republic holidays, contests and festivals regularly held in RB: “Ashkadar nagyshtary”, “Berdemlek-Sodruzhestvo”, Days of Salavat, Precious deposits”, “Play, Mordovian sgueezebox!”, “Melody of friendship”, Holiday of Russian song and chastushka, “Silver cord”, etc. There were 175 F.c. in 1996 with the title “national” and “exemplary”, 293 in 2000, 369 in 2002 (in total 1987 F.c.; more than 27 thousand participants), 93 in 2004 (2168; more than 30 thousand), 582 in 2006 (2336; more than 32 thousand), 869 in 2009 (2439; more than 33 thousand), 144 in 2018 including 7 folklore vocal, 2 folklore instrumental, 11 pop folklore, 15 exemplary folklore collectives; 15 honored collectives of ethnic art of RB, 5 honored collectives of ethnic art of RF. Institute of arts and other institutions of secondary and higher education prepare professional managers of F.c. In 1996 Ufa folklore methodological center for children was founded to help to organize and hold different folklore events. Development of local folklore traditions is carried out in the republic in accordance with the resolutions “Revival and development of the Bashkir people” (1996), “Bashkortostan peoples” (2002-13), “About complex program of culture and art development in RB in 2006-2010” (2006), etc. There are famous F.c., such as “Ashkadar”, “Ashkadar nagyshtary”, “Berkazan”, “Vastoma”, “Irandyk”, “Kobzar”, “Kudyrongyr”, “Maryana”, “Mon”, “Narspi”, “Russian decorations”, “Sarbi”, “Sudarushki”, “Syabry”, “Tambur”, “Tausen”, “Khazina”, “Kholmishi”, “Shevle”, “Shuldyr zhyt”, etc. There are also professional art F.c. in Bashkortostan (Ensemble of ethnic dance n.a. F. Gaskarov, “Argymak”, “Miras”, National orchestra of ethnic instruments).
