ROADS

ROADS, a complex of the facilities designed to ensure continuous and safe movement of road transport with rated load and set speed limits, for the carriage of cargo and passengers in order to meet the social-economic and defense needs of the state and the needs of the population; an integral part of the unified transport network of the country. R. are classified as 5 technical categories depending on traffic intensity, number and width of lanes, width of the earth roadbed, etc. There are public R. (of federal, republican, inter-district, district value) and departmental R. (owned by enterprises, organizations, institutions, etc). The key R. in the territory of the RB: Moscow–Ufa, “Volga” (162 km in the territory of the RB), the road of federal value of the 3rd technical category. It passes through Ilishevsky, Dyurtyulinsky, Kushnarenkovsky and Ufimsky raions, connecting the RB with the RT; it serves the oil fields of the Republic. It is connected with the river jetties on the Belaya River. Samara–Ufa–Chelyabinsk (332 km in the territory of the RB), the road of federal value of the 1–4th technical categories. It passes through Tuymazinsky, Buzdyaksky, Blagovarsky, Chishminsky, Ufimsky, Iglinsky, and Salavatsky raions, connecting the RB with Orenburg, Samara, Chelyabinsk oblasts and the RT; serves the oil fields of the Republic. The Ufa Transportation Hub (one of the most ramified in Russia) is located on the highway with a widely developed network of railway, water, air and pipeline communications. Ufa–Inzer–Beloretsk (229 km with access roads), the road of the Republic value of the 2–4th technical categories. It passes through Ufimsky, Karmaskalinsky, Arkhangelsky, and Beloretsky raions. It is connected to river jetties on Belaya, Inser, and Sim rivers. Ufa–Orenburg (324 km with access roads), the road of Republican value of the 1–3rd technical categories. It passes through Ufimsky, Karmaskalinsky, Aurgazinsky, Sterlitamaksky, Meleuzovsky, and Kuyurgazinsky raions. Ufa–Yanaul (205 km), the road of Republican value of the 2–3rd technical categories. It passes through Ufimsky, Blagoveshchensky, Birsky, Mishkinsky, Burayevsky, Kaltasinsky, and Yanaulsky raions. Kropachyovo–Mesyagutovo–Achit (157 km), the road of Republic value of the 3rd technical category. It passes through Salavatsky, Duvansky, Mechetlinsky raions. Magnitogorsk–Ira (316 km), the road of Republican value of the 3rd technical category. It passes through Baymaksky, Zilairsky, Zianchurinsky, Kugarchinsky, and Kuyurgazinsky raions. Birsk–Tastuba–Satka  (278  km),  the road of Republic value of the 3rd technical category. It passes through Birsky, Mishkinsky, Karaidelsky, Duvansky, and Kiginsky raions. Kushnarenkovo–Chekmagush–Bakaly (119 km), the road of Republican value of the 3rd technical category. It passes through Kushnarenkovsky, Chekmagushevsky, and Bakalinsky raions. It is connected with the river jetty on the Belaya River.
