AGROINDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISE NAMED AFTER KALININ, ООО, a breeder of black-and-white cattle (since 2008). Specializes in the production, processing, storage, and sale of agricultural products incl. pedigree seeds of wheat, barley, oat, and sunflower. Located in Sterlitamaksky Raion of the RB; the central farm is in Selo Nikolaevka. Established in 2000 as APCCollective Farm named after Kalinin. The collective farm named after Kalinin and Stal Collective Farm had been merged for the purpose. Since 2010, has the current status and name. Between 2000–13 the Enterpise merged with APC Sterlitamaksky, Oktyabrskaya Agrofirm, APC-Collective Farm named after Shevchenko. It includes: 2 seed breeding complexes for seeds cleaning, drying (up to 100 t/hr capacity), and sorting (up to 270 t/h), warehouses (up to 50 thous. t), 7 commercial dairy farms (incl. black-andwhite cattle nucleus farm), 2 commercial horse breeding farms, 2 garages with workshops, more than 300 units of agricultural machinery, etc. The arable area is 45,567 ha, the area under crops is 39,576 ha. In 2017, the number of cattle was 6,849 (1884 cows), horses – 600. They have produced (t): grain – 69,629, milk – 12,640, meat – 1,288; the average yearly output – 29.3 Cwt/ha. The number of employees is about 600 incl. 20 Merited Agricultural Workers of the RF and RB. The company’s products were awarded with the Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals of the Russian Agricultural Exhibition for Outstanding Performance in Agriculture and as the Best Producer of High-Quality Seeds.
