AZNABAYEV, Kasim Kutluberdiyevich [24.10.1905, Derevnya Akhmerovo of Orenburgsky Uyezd of the same named gub. (now Novosergiyevsky Raion of Orenburg Obl.) – 21.1.1996, Ufa], Journalist. Merited Cultural Sector Professional of the BASSR (1965). In 1921, Secretary at Tok-Churansky Canton Committee of the Komsomol. Since 1925, worked in the Orenburg Committee of the Komsomol. Between 1928–30, Deputy Editor at the Yesh Yuksyl (Young Poor Man) and Bashkortostan Yeshtere (Youth of Bashkortostan) newspapers, Principal at secondary schools and Deputy Head of Propaganda Department at Tamyan-Kataysky Canton. Since 1933 – Chief Editor at Bashkir State Publishing House for printing of works by V.I.Lenin, K.Marx and F.Engels in the Bashkir language, Deputy Head of Department at Bashkir Obl. Committee of the АСР(b). Since 1937, Executive Editor at The Bashkortostan newspaper. Between 1957–71, Editorial Board Head at Bashknigoizdat publishing house. Was subjected to political purges. Between 1938–46 and 1949–54 was in prison. Rehabilitated in 1956.
