AZNABAYEV, Marat Talgatovich (b.1.2. 1939 in Selo Yakshimbetovo of Kuyurgazinsky Raion of the BASSR), Ophtalmologist. Acad. of the AS RB (1995), Dr.Sci (Medical Sciences, 1987), Full Professor (1989). Merited Master of Sciences of the RF (2004) and the BSSR (1991), Merited Doctor of the RSFSR (1986) and BASSR (1977). Laureate of the RB State Award in Science and Technology (2011). Awarded with the Order of Honour (1999), Order for Merits to the Republic of Bashkortostan (2014), Order of Salavat Yulayev (2004). After graduating from BSMI (1962), he continued his career there, simultaneously, between 1980–2006 Dir. of Ufa Eye Research Institute. His scientific research is dedicated to study and development of new methods of diagnostics and  surgical  treatment  of  children  and newborns with eye diseases. The founder of Ufa scientific school of ophthalmology. The President of the Ophthalmologists’ Association of the RB (since 1997). A Deputy of the 12th Session of the Supreme Council of the RB.
